Student project allocation system

The advent of diverse information technology systems has revolutionized the way of doing things. A majority of business solutions are automated to meet the changing needs of the end users. Information systems have proved to be effective in implementing the business processes of most organizations and institutions across the globe. Student Project Allocation System is a web application that was developed and designed with the sole objective of automating student project allocation system. The system was intended to address the current problems experienced in Project Allocation System. This system aimed at automating the processes of choosing project topic, allocating, and reports generation. A number of tools were used to implement this system. They include: PHP scripting language, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Cascading Style Sheets, MySQL 5.3 database running on Xampp Server. In reference to this system’s objectives, an automated student project allocation system was developed using the aforementioned tools. The system’s performance meets user’s requirements, hence, providing the main benefit of concentrating all the project topic allocation and functions within the power of a mouse click and feeding of data into the system.
